Frosting Friday

Oh yeah.  You read that right.  I work with these maniacs who decided that we needed theme junk food for every day of the week.  Yesterday it was Frosting Friday.  Someone brought in a huge box of graham crackers and 3 cans of Betty Crocker frosting, plastic knives and little plastic cups.  These people ate this crap all day long.  Graham crackers smeared with either vanilla, chocolate, or cream cheese frosting or a combination of any of the 3.  Is that completely insane?  I have never eaten frosting out of a can.  But the thought of what that would do to my blood sugar kept me so far away from that bunch o' stuff.
Frosting Friday followed Twinkie Tuesday, by the way.  I shudder to wonder what they have in store for Monday.  On the other hand, it was originally suggested that Fried-Food-Friday would be great.  So as bad as the Frosting was, at least I couldn't smell it like I would have had they brought in a pile of Fried-Foods.

I read "Twinkie Tuesday" as "Twink Tuesday" and immediately had visions of Justin from "Queer As Folk" running through my head.

*dies laughing*

They seriously do sound insane. My coworker who is a diabetic just brought a HUGE box of doughnuts into the office. Guess who was eating one while he walked in the door? I don't get people who are sick and still eat sugar like it's going out of style. I'll tell you one thing right now, if a doctor told me that one more bite of sugar would/could kill me you bet your bottom dollar that I'd not eat it ever again. Period. End of story.

Twink Tuesday? Justin from QaF?

That is perfect.

The people are work are just nutty. One of the ladies I work with is diabetic and she stops at Burger King every morning on the way in to the office and buys crap to eat for breakfast. She eats fast food for lunch every day too. I don't get it. I really don't.

I freak the hell out about sugar, but as bad as I feel when I eat it, I have to be careful. But I have another friend who is an insulin dependent diabetic, but she ends up in the hospital a couple of times a year because of sugar issues. Some people know they have a problem but they have no willpower.

It is sad, really.
